Loose fuse-holder in BCC causes weird electrical issues

Last spring on our trip home,  the levelers started acting weird.  I’d press the power button,  it would work,  but as soon as I tried to put levelers down it acted like the system was resetting.

I re-seated all the connectors on the leveler controller and control pad. I cleaned the connections at the battery, and checked the connections at the brake switch and the transmission “N” safety switch. It still seemed like it was acting funny. so I started checking the 12 volt power..

The main power fuse and 12 volt feed to the leveler control panel comes from the Battery Control Center (BCC). I went to pull the fuse for the leveler control and it almost fell out…  There was no mechanical resistance holding the fuse in place.  This was probably why I was getting intermittent leveler control power.

I used a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully squeezed the contact fingers together.  When I re-inserted the fuse,  it was now making good connection.

I decided to do the same thing with all the fuses in the BCC.  One at a time, I removed the fusees and re-pinched the holder tabs closed.
